On December 20, 2017, CRASH1 Collision Center, along with MetLife and the National Auto Body Council, donated a much-needed "Recycled Ride" to a single mother of three, a client of Shelter Care Ministries' housing program for families who are homeless.
In order to maintain her job at Walmart, Micky, mother of three active little boys, often spends $250-$300/month on bus and taxi fares. It takes more than three hours for her to navigate to and from work and daycare.
Micky was offered a promotion at work that would have led to a pay increase and more consistent daytime hours. She had to decline due to her lack of personal transportation. She works odd hours and swing shifts to help make ends meet. Having her own personal transportation will make it possible for her to accept a promotion and improve her work and family life.
The vehicle is a 2015 Chrysler 200, donated by MetLife and repaired by CRASH1 Collision Center.
