Shelter Care Receives Office Furniture Makeover from Widmer Interiors

Widmer Wish, a unique program of Widmer Interiors, that awards a local nonprofit with a $20,000 office refurnishing, chose Shelter Care Ministries as this year’s recipient.  Widmer Interiors believes that non-profit organizations give so much of themselves in order to achieve their missions, often leaving little or no budget for office furniture. For this reason, Widmer Interiors developed Widmer Wish to recognize these unsung heroes.

Shelter Care’s board president, Beth Holmertz, nominated Executive Director Sarah Parker-Scanlon and Shelter Care Ministries for the award providing a written narrative detailing the office refurbishing needs including photos of the agency offices.  Shelter Care will be working with Widmer’s interior designers to create a plan to enhance office space at the agency within the next several months.
